News: Japanese and Brazilian OEMs visit Grundfos HQ

OEM customers see Grundfos production facilities up close

In September, Grundfos Machining Industry welcomed VIP groups of OEM customers from Japan and Brazil to the Grundfos headquarters campus in Bjerringbro, Denmark. The guests toured production facilities, attended a program at the Poul Due Jensen Academy, among other events.

One participant, Yutaka Tokuno, Director and General Manager of Technical Development at Takamatsu Machinery Co., Ltd., said he enjoyed seeing the pump manufacturer up close – although he is already familiar with Grundfos’s focus on quality and global reach.

“If a pump breaks down in the US, I can get a one-to-one replacement in the US. That’s an advantage. Japanese pump manufacturers cannot offer that. It’s especially important today, because 70% of Japan’s machine tool production is exported. So if pumps in those machines need repairs or replacement in the US or South Asia, that’s a damage for our customers’ business. That’s one reason why we choose Grundfos.”
